Luca Zaccarian
Luca Zaccarian graduated in Electronic Engineering in 1995 at the
university of Roma, Tor Vergata, where he also received his PhD degree
in Computer Science and Control Engineering in 2000. In 1998-2000 he
spent approximately two years as a visiting researcher at the Center
for Control Engineering and Computation of the University of
California, Santa Barbara (USA). During the summers 2003, 2004, 2005 and spring 2007 he was a
visiting professor at the Electrical and Electronic Engineering
department of the University of Melbourne (Australia). Since 2006 he
is an associate professor in
control engineering at the University of Roma, Tor Vergata where he was assistant professor in 2000-2006. His main
research interests include analysis and design of non-linear control
systems, modeling and control of robots, control of thermonuclear fusion experiments and real-time control systems. He
was the recipient of the 2001 O. Hugo Schuck Best Paper Award
given by the American Automatic Control Council.
